IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW

 

MiStar Parent Portal

 

FOR PARENTS: The MiStar Parent Portal can be accessed using this LINK.  If you forgot your login information, follow this LINK (please note that you must provide your personal email address that it listed in MiStar).

Student Emails:  Student emails were sent to the Parent email on file in MiStar.  If you need to obtain your scholar’s email address or if your scholar needs a password reset, please reach out to the building principal by phone or email.

 

Google Classroom:  Each teacher has their own Google Classroom for each period of the day.  Scholars will receive an invite email from their teacher granting them access to their class.  If your scholar did not receive an invite email from one or more teachers for a class on their schedule, please reach out to the Principal via email (the contact information is provided below).  Principals will direct emails to the teacher directly.

The following best practices are offered to support families in transitioning to virtual instruction in the home environment:

 

  • Support your child’s attendance and engagement in all teacher led lessons and independent learning experiences.
  • Encourage your child to complete all assignments on time.
  • Provide or request adequate technology for your child to be able to accomplish academic requirements.
  • Create a healthy learning environment at home to support your child’s academic and social emotional learning.
  • Encourage your child to build positive relationships with classmates by respecting
  • Support your child in using self-care strategies to help achieve their goals and maintain wellbeing.
  • Communicate with your child’s teachers to clarify learning expectations and support
academic and social-emotional progress.
  • Encourage your child to seek assistance and support from staff and advocate for your child when necessary.
  • Take an active interest and role in your child’s education.
  • Participate in family activities that support learning and wellbeing.
